Electrical Project Engineer – Westhill, Aberdeen

JAB Recruitment is supporting an established engineering organisation in Westhill with the appointment of an Electrical Project Engineer.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineer with experience across electrical design, instrumentation systems and engineering project delivery to work on a varied range of products and projects.

The position will cover both new product development and through-life engineering, including modifications and upgrades to existing equipment already operating in the field.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing electrical engineering design solutions for new and existing products
• Supporting equipment modifications, upgrades and technical queries
• Selecting suitable electrical components and materials
• Producing Bills of Materials and engineering documentation
• Preparing specifications, proposals, assembly instructions, test procedures, certification and technical reports
• Reviewing manufacturing drawings and engineering documentation
• Working closely with mechanical engineers and other cross-functional disciplines
• Supporting compliance with relevant engineering standards, regulations and internal processes
• Undertaking occasional visits to other company locations and client assets

We are looking for candidates with:

• Degree-level qualification in Electrical, Electronic or Manufacturing Engineering
• Previous experience as an Electrical Project Engineer or in a closely related engineering position
• Knowledge of the electrical design and manufacture of instrumentation systems
• Experience producing specifications, drawings and comprehensive engineering documentation
• 2D/3D drafting experience using AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar
• Understanding of manufacturing techniques and engineering design standards
• Experience working with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
• Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams

Previous experience designing subsea or diving equipment would be particularly advantageous, as would any relevant diving qualifications.
